Happy One Year Old!

Ozzie's first birthday was so much fun! All the kids were tired...but they had fun snacking, eating cake and playing with lego...what else would you do at Nathan and Kathy's house!

Music Class

Brayden and Rylan go to music class every Monday morning. Here are a few shots we took last week. Brayden's favorite instrument is the pink, yes pink, egg shaker. Rylan really likes the blue rhythm sticks. "Everyone has fun in music class!" Happy 1/2 Birthday Rylan!

Rylan is 6 months old TODAY! Wow! Time flies! We are so blessed to have this happy boy in our lives. He is truly our little sunshine! He smiles at anyone who looks at him and laughs histerically at "A-Boo!" He rolled from his front to his back this week and almost from his back to his front. He puts his soother in his mouth by himself. He can hold a bottle and feed himself --he just won't drink from it:(! He stands with assistance on Mommy's lap. Rylan can also sit up on the couch for a short time! He still doesn't have any teeth, but drools by the litre and his eczema is slowly getting better. He chews on anything he can get his hands on --including his hands! He is getting to be very picky about who holds him (Opa) and who puts him to bed (Mommy). What a fun little man!

P.S. He is mezmorized by hockey and the X-box---just like his Daddy!

Jake and Mollie

Clay's cousin Jake and his "new" fiance Mollie came to visit us from Alberta last weekend. It was good to see them! Congrats!

Cousin Sam and Auntie Jenn came to play in our park...here are a few fun shots! (Rylan had lots of fun hanging out playing with his toys in the stroller and he had a few swings as well).

"Tent Party"

Natasha is a regular friend at our house now that I am watching her on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One day a while back we made a "tent party" in Brayden's bedroom. They had a blast hiding from me (and the camera!).

Hoppy Easter

Easter is the time to remember that Jesus died and rose again to cleanse us from our sins! What an amazing sacrifice!

Keeping this in mind.....

...we did take part in some commercialism of the season...

We had some fun taking these "chunky bunny" shots. Rylan is almost 6 months and 21 pounds! Needless to say I don't need to work out my arms!

The other day I was at TOYS "R" US of all places and I found something special---chocolate letters ... these have been a Wassen Christmas tradition in our family for as long as I can remember... and it has kind of dwindled...so I decided to carry it on to our family...YUM!

We found these cool easter baskets and when Brayden returned, we had a small Easter Egg Hunt in our living room! He had a blast! Here are a few shots of the boys' Easter outfits and baskets.

Easter Weekend

So Rylan wasn't feeling the greatest (and it's no fun driving with a sick baby), so Brayden went to Kamloops/Sun Peaks with Grandma and Opa all by himself! He had so much fun! The weather was great and he got to play in the snow, feed minature horses and chase the cats (or the cats got him?).

Eczema Yet Again! AHHH!

Rylan now has eczema...luckily just on his face...check out the picture:(. Rylan is still his happy self, but we have to put socks on his hands so he doesn't scratch it raw. (Brayden had it all over his arms and legs). We got some antibiotic cortozone cream and his face is 100% better, but I don't want to use that cream forever... any ideas?

I snapped this photo yesterday... Brayden and Rylan are so cute together. B is the only person who can make Ry laugh uncontrollably (I'll see if I can put a video on here someday). B always says says" Rylan's my best friend!" How cute --we'll see when Rylan is moving and getting into B's stuff what he'll say about that! Ry's on his way --- almost sitting up!
