Ry's Twin

Fall has arrived...sadly.
We were hoping for a nice sunny September; however, we had to turn on our furnace and get on our boots and rain coats! We bought some fun leaves at Michael's the other day and thought we would try them out in the studio since the weather, well, hasn't been that great!. What fun expressions my boys have! Enjoy!

Rwow!
Ry and the Bottle
It spits!?
So near the end of the summer, we visited the Vancouver Zoo. B loved the space to run! Ry loved looking at the animals. He also loved playing with the hat of the Japanese boy that sat in front of us at the lion's feeding. We had a little fun with B and the railway tracks too. Watch out for the camel... it spits:) B tried to actually reach out and touch the camel, but he got too scared. Overall a fun day!

The "Sticks"
The "Box"
Long enough already!
On the August long weekend, we decided we would go to Seattle to visit my cousins, MycahDoug (as B calls them!). We had a wedding on Saturday, then we thought the line-ups would be better on Sunday...needless to say we were wrong. We had fun riding in the back of the car and Ry loved being the front seat driver! A long 3 hour wait, but fun none the less.

WOW!
I just looked at the date when I last posted and ...it's been more than a month! WOW! We have been really busy! We have had 2 weddings, Rylan shot a Lexus commercial, we went to Shuswap for a week, went to the Vancouver Zoo... and Rylan started crawling! I will post lots of pics soon as I will be going back to work next week...yes, the boys have been doing fine without me this week as I have been setting up my classroom. Thanks Akeisha!

Clay's New "Hockey" Job
About a month ago, Clay was browsing on monster.ca and found a posting for a job as "Head of Hockey Development" at Burnaby 8 Rinks. Everything they were asking for the job description, he has: level 3 hockey coach, management experience, hockey experience such as playing and coaching, etc. He decided to apply, not knowing what to expect. Well, two weeks later, he had resigned from his job at the gym and was making the long trek into Burnaby. On a good day, it takes him about an hour and fifteen minutes....on a bad day well... any amount of time after that. Luckily, the longest so far is 2 hours (but it is still summer time!). Anyway, he is loving his job...finally something that he is qualified to do! He can play hockey every day if he wants to, but he still has work to do in the office. Every day is different, so it keeps him on his toes. At Burnaby 8 Rinks, there is the exact replica of the Canucks dressing room from GM Place (because this is where they practice!), so this is where the boys are in the photos below. I am so happy for and proud of Clay that he has gotten this opportunity.
B says, "It's the goaler Mom!"

The Telus World of Science
In the past month, we have driven to Vancouver at least 6 times! EVERYTIME Brayden asks if we can go to Science World. Finally we had time on holiday Monday, before Clay started his new job. B had crazy amounts of fun in the mirrors, dancing in front of the screens to see different shadows, exploring gross bodily functions, and observing different insects. All in all we had a fun time. I think mom and dad and Rylan were more tired than B.
