Miss Maya at the Hospital

Beautiful Maya, daughter to our friends Megan and Steve, was welcomed into the world this month! Luckily I was on Spring Break and I could pop by. Unfortunately I had the boys with me...
B got to hold Maya and he looked so good as a big brother!
Ry had fun looking out the window at the big "swimming pool" and
B was reading Halle's new baby sister book...however, this quietness can only last a little while...

it turned into a wrestling match instigated by Ry on the couch! Ahhh!
To end with a wonderful student..Maya raising her hand!

"Baby Sister"

Meet Baby Sister. She is going to sleep. Shhhhh...
Good night baby sister!
Ah, you are crying, it's okay!
I'll lay with you for 2 minutes and give you a little hug.

I'll give you a BIG hug...
and a kiss goodnight!
Baby sister is awake now!
Oh, she needs her diaper changed.

She needs some cuddles and to be wrapped in her blanky.
I love my baby sister.

Yummy, yet REALLY easy granola bars!

I don't really bake, but these are a weekly item that does get baked in my house because they are so fast, easy and taste really yummy! B and Ry also help out pouring the ingredients into the bowl.

4 cups of oats (whole and quick oats mixed)

1 cup of chocolate chips

1 cup of raisins and/or craisins (I like to mix them 1/2 a cup each)

1 cup of sunflower seeds

1 cup of soy nuts (or any other nuts you prefer-this works well in a peanut free school)

Add one can SWEETENED condensed milk and mix in a big bowl.

Pat firmly into a bar pan with PARCHMENT paper.

Bake at a preheated oven of 350 degrees.

For about 24 minutes (when the top is a light brown).

Cool. (It is easier if you pull it out of the pan to cool.)
Cut into granola bar size pieces. YUMM!

(adapted from Meg's recipe-thanks btw!)

Diaper Disaster?

What happens when you buy a Costco pack of diapers, leave them open in the hallway and have two mischievous boys? This...
then laugher, and then this:

I just couldn't get mad at the mess, so Ry did some diaper modeling!

Uh Oh!

I seem to have ACCIDENTALLY deleted ALL the photos from this blog!  I thought they were stored in a different photo album online, but alas they were not.  I will re-do some of my most recent blog posts, but I will NOT be going back 2 years-boohoo!  I think I did download part of  my blog to a photo book site, hopefully I can still find it there!  I'll let you know what I find out!

:( J

Update:)  I have found my blog up to May 2008 uploaded onto a BLURB photo book.  Actually it is very cool.  That program just uploads the blog--all your entries and pictures into a printable photo book.  You have to upload the program to your computer and work from there.  Check it out here if you want something of that kind of thing www.blurb.com

"Great" Grandma and Grandpa

My grandparents recently passed away and I just found these pictures of when B met them for the first time when he was two! They were smiling at him and loving every minute of his energy!

My grandpa loved to play boggle, but with his cataracts, he couldn't play.
