Rainy May Day Parade

It has been a tradition ever since I was a little girl to go to the May Day parade in Fort Langley since it is only a block away from where my parents live, I carry it on with our boys. The Locke's decided to rain on our parade too. B and N always have a blast running to get candy!

Plants

A few Saturdays back when it was raining, I took the boys to Devan Greenhouse to buy some plants for the front garden and my planters on the back deck.  I usually kill plants inside, but somehow, some way, the plants live outside.  B helped me pick out some plants that he liked and we planted some already sprouted bulbs from there as I wanted to have some, but forgot to plant them in the fall.
Ry liked to dig in the dirt to make piles of dirt on the plants.

Haya comes to visit

Hey there...don't get too close to me!
Oh Ry, but I like you!
But I have an evil plan....
....I can get away from you, I can, I can!  Ha Ha!

Soon Haya...very soon, you will be able to keep up with Ry..but until then..See ya!

Da-da aka "airplane"

Clay's new hobby is model airplanes.  Here is one he built himself and he is getting quite confident at flying them as he does some cool stunts in the park outside our house!  Ry gets so excited to see the airplane fly.  Whenever a big "real" airplane is in the sky, he points and says "dada".

Clay bought the boys cheap airplanes from the hobby store that they fly off our stairs.

Haya is one!

I have had the priviledge of watching this cutie grow...from newborn to now ONE year old.  Time sure flies.  We all look forward to spending more time with you, "Haya", in the next year to come.  Happy Birthday princess!

The birthday girl....the wrapping is always more fun!
Ry playin ball!
B reading, then trying to read to Halle...
B shares his cupcake with me, then tries to mooch one off of Mac!

Snow in Mid-April?

Yes we do get snow, but not usually in April.  One spring morning, we woke up to see our cars covered in the white stuff.  Clay had the day off, so he searched the house for their snow gear and took them outside. Both B and Ry's attire is for next winter, so it is all a little big.  Ry hates the snow as you can see and B loves it--making a snow man and snow angels.  Hopefully May brings flowers!

Castle Fun Park

We went to Castle Fun Park for the first time with both Ry and B as well as Papa and M-a D on Sunday, April 6.  Ry loved the balls--not just bowling with them, but eating them as well...ew!

Ry hated the moving horse because I put him in it and put the money in with out letting him know it was going to move and he was scared from that time on!  I know-way to go Mom!

B and Ry driving the cars!  B steered as I put in the gas--He loved final lap-my all time favorite!
B played air hockey with Papa Ken and he was scoring on himself!
B shooting hockey while Ry is patiently waiting!
Ry playing with Daddy's help---he is our hockey boy!  He carries around a stick hitting any ball or balloon in sight.
Watching B on the bumper cars with Papa and Ma D.
B and Dad loving the bumper cars.  B figured it out on the first try--coordinated like his daddy!

A fun afternoon had by all!
I am so glad my boys are getting bigger so we can do fun things with them!

Caught with his hand in the....

Cheerios tupperware!  Ry's new found love is eating Cheerios out of the container.  This is the first time of many now caught eating a snack!  He grabs a hand full and stuffs as many as can be along with his fist into his mouth!  Hilarious!

B's Scooter

Auntie bought be this super cool vintage scooter for Christmas and we just recently put it together.  This past month the weather has been getting better and B hasn't been so chicken to try it out on our back sidewalk.  Keep practicing, B!

Ry's Robeez

I was so excited that Robeez have finally made a shoe for outdoor use.  When I saw these I just had to have them for Ry since he really didn't like--actually screamed ---when I put any other shoe on his foot.
I did a few shots in the studio with Ry in his diaper and the shoes.  Then I remembered a photo with another little girl around his age by Anne Geddes and knew he would do it because he loves to show his bellybutton --he calls it his "bebe".  I also have been playing with textures too!
This one is just for Gramma Raine!

Queen for a Day

(Look at the boy behind B--hilarious!)

Luckily I have a great colleague who is willing to do a favor for me now and then. She took my class for an hour so that I could go to the mother's day tea at B's preschool We were queen for a day--complete with beauty paegant sash, crown and royal treatment. The kids performed the billy goats gruff (...with a slight twist of a princess instead of a troll) and sang us a song. B massaged lotion on my feet, painted my toenails, served me biscuits and gave me a beautiful flower. What a treat. I am so thankful that I was able to make this once in a lifetime opportunity.
